The IRiMa Risk Research Programme is implemented operationally through coordination actions led by the Governance project, eight targeted projects, and additional projects that will be selected through calls for proposals open to the entire scientific community.
Two types of calls are planned:
- a call for expressions of interest focusing on intense and recurrent climate-related risks;
- a call for proposals, organised in three waves, aimed at supporting innovative research projects within six thematic areas, addressing scientific objectives not covered by the targeted projects.
The overall indicative budget allocated to these two calls amounts to €15 million.
Their launch is scheduled from the end of 2024 onwards.
