The IRiMa Risks Research Program is co-led by BRGM, CNRS, and Université Grenoble Alpes. The co-leads rely on several committees to ensure the scientific relevance and effective implementation of the program.

BRGM, CNRS, and Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), the co-lead institutions of the Program, are represented by their directors-general or delegates.

Soraya Boudia (Professor at Université Paris Cité and member of Cermes3), Didier Georges (UGA), and Gilles Grandjean (BRGM) coordinate the program and carry out networking activities to facilitate the process of joint initiatives and bring together the scientific communities.

Composed of vice-presidents for research or executive directors of the project’s main partners, this committee reviews, amends, and approves the overall program strategy, its roadmap, and the allocation of resources.

Bringing together the three co-directors, the pillar leaders, and the coordinators of targeted projects, this committee is responsible for program implementation. The Program Committee ensures the coherence of the work carried out and its multidisciplinary nature, and fosters interactions across domains and pillars, and guarantees cross-cutting approaches.

Composed of members appointed by the Steering Committee, it provides external and independent evaluation and will critically review the strategic orientations, the roadmap, and the quality of the work produced. The aim is to bring together eminent scientists from major research organizations in the field of risk, i.e., geosciences, environmental sciences, humanities and social sciences, and health.

This committee brings together scientific and societal stakeholders (local authorities, companies, associations, etc.) and acts as an advisory body. It puts forward guidelines for calls for projects and ensures that socio-economic needs are taken into account.
